Sarah Connor Chronicles

On Sunday I took the day off from studying and training to watch the New York Giant football team win the Super Bowl, while watching I became very intrigued in something I saw. There was one preview in all that boringness of commercials for a new series called the Sarah Connor Chronicles which is a made for TV series about the Terminator species. So instead of tuning into Seagal’s most recent straight to USA network release “Attack Force” I checked out for the first time in recent history a Television Series.

This show should be renamed to Two & ½ Women Attempt to Save the World. The Sarah Connor woman is not as crazy or ripped as Linda Hamilton and way to skinny to stand a chance against Robert Patrick. The other woman is pretty, wears a leather jacket and acts like a Terminator but she is not Arnold and doesn’t really resemble him so I am not sure why she is on this show? Then the other character is the John Connor kid, who is not the same as the original he doesn’t really do anything except argues with his mom. With the lack of cool shades, exploding 18 wheelers and Terminators being destroyed by hot lava, this show was nothing more than a dramatic version of Family Ties or Who’s the Boss, then you add the weird hot girl its more like a cheap futuristic ALF.

The series is set after the T2 movie took place and the feuding trio is supposed to prevent the US Military from creating Skynet, which would lead to Armageddon. Since the T/Girl and the Connors have no chance of saving the planet we turn to the police force. Now the cop woman from The Shield is part of this team but what chance does she stand against the Terminator race without the Commish(Michael Chickles)? The answer is NO CHANCE, that’s like Reginald VelJohnson fighting terrorists without John McClane in Die Hard!

There wasn’t enough action for another viewing of this hour long show with half of it being stupid FOX commercials, now I remember why I only watch movies that are no longer than 85 minutes with no commercials, cause anything other than that is torture. The kid and the mother do not stand a chance of saving the world, which is why I hope this show gets cancelled before it is to late.
